Recent budget cuts to Bay Area public schools have forced public high schools in the area to vastly cut back on athletic programs and in some cases eliminate sports programs altogether.

The First Base Foundation decided to step in and offer the youth of the Bay Area an outlet for their athletic needs.

Through its athletic teams and mentorship programs, the First Base Foundation strives to give young athletes a chance to develop, learn, and stay off the streets.

The First Base Foundation works in low income areas and offers children a chance to receive professional coaching, top of the line equipment, uniforms, and tournament road trips all at no cost to the children or their families.
